Falafy-Setup.exe
64-bit PCs (x86_64). The AppImage runs on most distributions and updates itself; the .deb is for Ubuntu, Debian, Mint and derivatives (the app tells you when a new version is out).
AppImage: chmod +x Falafy-linux-x86_64.AppImage and then ./Falafy-linux-x86_64.AppImage
.deb: sudo apt install ./Falafy-linux-amd64.deb
Ubuntu 22.04 or newer: the AppImage needs sudo apt install libfuse2.
macOS 11 or later. Screen sharing on Mac does not carry PC audio yet. The first time you use them, macOS asks for microphone, camera and screen recording permissions.
Open the .dmg and drag Falafy to Applications.
The app is not notarized by Apple yet. Right-click Falafy > Open > Open. On macOS 15 or later: System Settings > Privacy & Security > "Open Anyway".
Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, with nothing to install. Also works on work computers where you're not allowed to install software. On Android, open it in Chrome and tap "Install app".
Voice and notifications work in Falafy installed this way (iOS 16.4 or later).
Only download Falafy from this website. There is no official version on other download sites.
The Falafy-Setup.exe file downloads straight from falafy.com.br.
The installer is not digitally signed yet. Click "More info" and then "Run anyway".
All you need is an email. Then create a server or open an invite link.

Yes. Downloading and using it is free, with no ads and no subscription.
The installer is not digitally signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen shows "Windows protected your PC". Click "More info" and then "Run anyway".
No. Falafy doesn't have a code signing certificate yet (they cost money), and some antivirus programs block new unsigned software even when there is no real threat. This is called a false positive.
To install safely: only download it here at falafy.com.br; check that the file's SHA-256 matches the one shown below (in PowerShell: Get-FileHash .\Falafy-Setup-*.exe); in your antivirus, restore the file from quarantine and add an exclusion for the %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\Falafy folder. In Windows Defender: Windows Security > Virus & threat protection > Protection history > Allow.
If you'd rather not touch your antivirus, use the web version: it's the same Falafy, with nothing to install.
SHA-256 of the Windows installer: 45e6042541c1461cbcce3b12663dab1b6f5fc425fd9a2f2bd8bec92af5f5d45d (v0.9.1)
Download the AppImage, make it executable with chmod +x Falafy-linux-x86_64.AppImage and open it with ./Falafy-linux-x86_64.AppImage. On Ubuntu, Debian, Mint and derivatives, you can also use the .deb package: sudo apt install ./Falafy-linux-amd64.deb. Both are for 64-bit PCs (x86_64). On Ubuntu 22.04 or newer, the AppImage needs the libfuse2 package (sudo apt install libfuse2). The AppImage updates itself; the .deb does not: when a new version is out, the app tells you and opens this page.
Yes. There is a macOS app for macOS 11 or later, with downloads for Apple silicon Macs (M1 to M4) and Intel Macs. Because the app is not notarized by Apple yet, open it the first time with right-click > Open (the steps are on this page). You can also use it in the browser, at falafy.com.br/app.
On iPhone, open falafy.com.br/app in Safari, tap Share and then "Add to Home Screen". When opened from the icon, Falafy has voice and notifications (iOS 16.4 or later). On Android, open it in Chrome and tap "Install app" or "Add to Home screen". There is no app in the app stores yet.
Create a server and send the invite link. It takes a minute.
