Install the app for Windows or Linux from the Download page or use the web version at falafy.com.br/app, with nothing to install. Create your account with your email.
- 2Create or join a server
A server is your group's space: text channels by topic, voice channels and roles with permissions. Create your own or join one through an invite link.
- 3Invite people and start talking
Send the invite link to your friends or your team. Anyone who opens the link joins the server and can talk by voice, share their screen and send messages right away.
The basics
Server
A group's space. It has channels, roles, rules and invites. Anyone can create a server, for free.
Text channels
Conversations by topic, with threads, forum, polls, events, attachments, emojis and stickers.
Voice channels
Always-open rooms: drop in, talk, share your screen or turn on your webcam. Leave whenever you want.
Roles and permissions
They define who can see, speak in, moderate or manage each channel. Private channels can be limited by role or by person.
Direct messages
Private conversations and groups outside servers, with voice and video calls.
How calls work
In small calls, audio and video can travel directly between participants (peer to peer). Larger rooms go through Falafy's own media server, which distributes audio and video to everyone. In both cases, media travels with transport encryption.
Noise suppression runs on your own device, in three levels (Light, Balanced and Maximum), so your microphone audio is not sent to an external service to be filtered. The "Test microphone" button lets you hear the difference before you join.
Large rooms can become a stage: speakers are highlighted while the audience listens and raises a hand to join in. Falafy also measures how powerful your PC is and recommends a performance profile (Light, Balanced or Maximum).
Where to use it
- Windows 10 and 11: installer with automatic updates.
- Linux: AppImage and .deb package on the Download page.
- Browser, including on phones: falafy.com.br/app, which can be installed as an app (PWA). On iPhone, in Safari: Share > Add to Home Screen, with voice and notifications.
- macOS 11 or later: .dmg for Apple silicon and Intel Macs on the Download page. There are no apps in the mobile app stores yet.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to install anything to use Falafy?
No. You can use it in the browser at falafy.com.br/app. On a computer, the Windows or Linux app is recommended; on Windows, it shares your screen with PC audio.
How do I join my friends' server?
Open the invite link they send you. If you don't have an account yet, create one with your email and you'll go straight into the server.
Can I import a server from another app?
No. Messages and channels from other apps are not imported; the fastest way is to create the server and send the invite to your current group chat.
